APC's Maxipacker system is the ultimate in high density pallet storage. Being able to utilise the entire volume of a warehouse while having efficient and economincal pallet management is an equation which doesn't usually add up. Recently a solution to this problem has arisen in the form of the Maxipacker System.

Maxipacker is a patented robot for handling pallets in a high density racking system. Unlike other drive-in racks where it is necessary to drive the pallet in with a fork truck or invest in special trucks, Maxipacker can automatically collect or stack the pallet for you.
Less Damage = Better Economy
Letting Maxipacker take care of all pallet handling in the rack means that the amount of damage to both the goods and the rack is kept to an absolute minimum. The result is an unsually positive total economy.
Filo Handling
All fork-truck pallet handling takes place in the main aisle. This means that the rack can be made much deeper than an ordinary drive-in rack system. Furthermore, the truck deosn't need to stand and wait for the Maxipacker and is free to work elsewhere. This produces a high rate of turnover whilst halving the truck's handling time. As the Maxipacker works on levels, the goods only need to be uniform within one level of the bay. This means a high rate of capacity utilisation and a high rate of accessibility of the goods.
Picking
Here the maxipacker is used together with Pallet Live Storage. A combination where there is room for buffer pallets at the upper levels and for roller conveyors at the lowest level. All picking from pallets takes place from a picking corridor that passes through the rack. The buffer pallets are handled by trucks and the Maxipacker in a seperate aisle - an efficient and space-saving way of storing buffer pallets in the immediate vicinity of picking, and at the same time achieving a safe work place with seperate truck operating areas.
Fifo Handling
Here the Maxipacker is used in throughput storage and the pallets are managed in a first in, first out principle. The Maxipacker can also carry out a reorganisation of the pallets and when required move all pallets closer to the unloading point.
